Protect Your Investment
Following these simple maintenance steps will extend the life of your curbing and keep your warranty valid.
Re-seal Every 2–3 Years
A fresh coat of professional sealant every two to three years protects against UV fading, moisture penetration, and freeze-thaw damage. BorderWerx offers re-sealing as a standalone service.
Avoid Harsh De-icers
Rock salt and calcium chloride can accelerate surface scaling on concrete. Use sand for traction near curbing, or ask us about concrete-safe de-icing products.
Keep Soil & Mulch Levels Even
Soil that builds up above the curbing line can trap moisture and accelerate deterioration. Keep bed levels at or below the top of the curbing edge.
Avoid Heavy Equipment Contact
Curbing is designed for landscape borders, not load-bearing use. Keep heavy equipment, vehicles, and lawn tractors from driving over or repeatedly impacting the curbing.
Address Cracks Early
Small cracks that develop outside the warranty period can be repaired before they grow. Contact us for a repair assessment — catching issues early is always less costly.
Clear Snow Carefully
When shoveling near curbing, use plastic-edged shovels rather than metal blades to avoid chipping the surface or sealant layer.
What's Not Covered
Our warranty covers defects in our work — it does not cover damage caused by conditions outside our control. The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
